A photographer since age 13, I use photography as the common link between my many varied interests. From history to biology, from garden to wilderness, from city to farm, from bugs to fish and around the world: it is the camera and reflected, collected light that binds them.

Born in Canada, but of Dutch descent, my early life was influenced by travels with a constantly moving family. We moved through Canada and South Africa until I reached the age of 17, when we settled down in Edmonton, Alberta. Over the years I have developed a multitude of interests which I now share by means of photography and blogging.
I’m writing an article on Chinese Opera for The Hilt, an in-house publication for Hilton Kuala Lumpur. I was wondering if it would be possible to use some of your pictures with the article? Credit mention will be given of course. Looking forward to your feedback.
